Lohgad Fort ,Visapur Fort,Bhaja Caves
Situated at the height of 3400 feet, Lohagad Fort is a UNESCO world heritage site and formidable fort about 52 kilometres away from Pune. Lohagad Fort was built in the 18th century and is an ideal destination for trekking and nature lovers, especially from Pune and Mumbai. Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj used to keep his treasury in this fort.A narrow fortified region in the Lohgarh fort, Vinchu Kata literally means Scorpion’s sting. The natural formation due to the fissure of lava has resulted into the finger like projection of rocks and the peak of the terrain is a must-visit.A hiking trail from Vinchu Kata takes you to Visapur fort and is adorned by lush green forests and fantastic view of the valley.These spots are only 12kms to 15kms away from Lonavala.

Lonavala Lake is just about an 1.5 hours from Mumbai or from Pune.It is full of fresh water during the Monsoon and you cannot miss the lake on your way to all the famous sopts in and around Lonavala.There are famous spots around like the Narayani Dham temple and the Kune Falls , Popular Bushi Dam which is again one of the most popular spots in Lonavala for decades.

Karla Caves & Ekvira Temple
The Karla Caves are a complex of ancient Buddhist Indian rock-cut caves near Lonavala. It is only 11 kms from Lonavala . These Caves are atleast 2000 years old and here you will see very unique structures.Ekvira temple is nect to the Caves .To reach the temple and Caves there is a short steep trek of 200 steps so old people or kids are not advisable to Visit and climb. But if u can do this trek after reaching the Top , strolling inside the Caves is simply a wonderful experience.

Lion's Point, Pawana Lake, Popular Fort Treks
The view from the Lions Point is majestic and panoramic. One would see dozens of small waterfalls, lush green hills and lakes around during monsoon season. The sunrise and sunset views from here are mesmerizing. Next is Pawna Lake ,an artificial Lake which is one popular attractions for Boating,Camping around the Lake for some fantastic Views.

My unique experience on this years Halloween & exciting trip with friends . To face our fears we decided to make this year’s Halloween a little exciting by planning to go to Adlabs Imagica which is around 70 kms approximately away from Mumbai . To make it a roadtrip we decided to drive and go and it took us nearly 2 hours to reach. Imagica although is an amusement park, the rides there can scare one to death ! Me and my girls especially are still very afraid to sit but we sat because Halloween !...
We our working on the same to get best flights connectivity for this location.
Lonavala is good to Visit all round the Year but the best time to Visit is during the Monsoon , June , July , August , September and October . Even in the Winters it is a Pleasant Place to be around
You could travel to Lonavala by Train , Bus or your Own Car . If you come there by Public Transport Hire a Local Car /Taxi or a Bike would be ideal in Lonavala , costs Approx would be Rs 300 to Rs 400 a Day depending on the Type of 2 Wheeler Vehicle . It is only 100 Kms from Mumbai [ 2 hours by Road ] and an Hour away from Pune
