Travel Story of Amsterdam & Village Experience in Netherlands by Snehal
Our Trip to Amsterdam was full of memories and we visited many Holland villages , saw a Cheese Factory , famous Dutch Shoe Workshop , took a trip to the World famous Beer Brewery , sailed past the Canals & bridges of Amsterdam in a Canal Cruise Experience , also stayed in a Unique Theme Hotel near Amsterdam Central Station .
We stayed in A-Train a unique Train Theme Hotel . The Hotel had Indian Train Pictures and even the Breakfast Area was designed in a way that looked like Train Compartment . We selected this Hotel as it was just opposite the Amsterdam Central Station .
Next we began Our trip to see the Villages of Amsterdam . We took a Day Tour so that we can see these Places in a group and it is useful as we didn’t have to Bother about the Transportation as well .
On the Way we crossed beautiful Villages and farm lands with the sights of Sheep grazing all around and Dutch Cows !
Finally we reached a Popular Attraction called De Zaanse Schans . A very colourful and beautiful Village full of Windmills .
Dutch Country-side is like a Picture Perfect Painting , beautiful Houses , Lakes , bridges and swans swimming all around !
Of course not to forget the cool breeze and the Windmills . You also get to see one of the Windmills from Inside the Place and its function .
Even Tried to eat a Organic Pumpkin !
Next we headed to Volendam , which was half an hour drive from Zaanse Schans . There is a Cheese Factory which we got to Visit and was a unique experience
Inside they tell us the entire Process of Cheese Making.
Also give you a Tour of the Facility .
There are so many Colorful Varieties of Cheese Displayed everywhere .
Volendam is a small fishing Village and Lunch here for Sea -Food lovers is a Must try !
The Streets are narrow and to reach this Place you have to walk through the Dutch Villages .
Finally the most awaited Part of the Trip Food !
Next was a short Boat Ride to Marken another Village where we will Visit the traditional Dutch Shoes factory Workshop .
On the Boat
The birds flying High !
It was Very Cold & Windy , so one for the Road !
We reached our destination after a short Boat Ride – Marken Village .
It is indeed Paradise for Nature Lovers
Next we saw the Traditional Shoes Workshop by a Local . He showed us the entire process of making aa wooden Dutch Show right from Scratch .
The display of Shoes was so colourful all around .
A fantastic way to preserve and also show the Local Stuff and Culture of Amsterdam and you could buy them as Souvenirs .
All around you could click some fantastic Pictures .
From Villages we head back to the City , a short 45 mins Ride only . We went straight to explore the famous Heineken Beer Experience [ Brewery ] . A small Tip , there are huge Lines [ as you can see here ] to buy the entrance ticket so pre-booking this Tour would be a good plan .
Finally made it inside to check out the Heineken Experience . They take u through the entire process of Brewing Beer , give us details about the Ingredients . You also get a free entry to party happening in the Lounge area where few Drinks are free . Totally worth the Money .
Inside the Heineken Facility .
Next we headed to Rijksmuseum , one of the best Museums in Amsterdam , a must try for Art Lovers . There is I AM Amsterdam Photo Sign also close to that where you can click good pics .
After that we decided to take a Canal Cruise , again a thing you must do when in Amsterdam . The trips now also include Food n Beer on the Cruise if you choose those Options and Tickets are accordingly .
A good way to end the Exciting Day .
Lastly as the Streets Lit Up in the Evening we went to check out the Red Light District of Amsterdam which has all the Pubs, Clubs & Live Music Shows .
