This Keshariya jain temple is almost 1500 years old. Due to offering of Kesar (saffron) on the idol it is known Keshariya ji. You need to walk almost 500 meters after parking of your four wheeler as four wheelers are not allowed till main gate. You can also enjoy Jain food in the Dharamshala next to temple. A must place to explore. Full of history and devotion.

Kesariyaji Jain Temple is an ancient (almost 1,200 years) temple, an architectural marvel, located in a town known as Rishabdeo (named after the main diety of the temple and the first Tirthankar of Jainism, Lord Adinath (Rishabhnath) Dada). The locals Bhils worship Kesariyaji as "Kalababa" and offer saffron to the God. It is on the Udaipur Ahmedabad Road and is around 65 kms from Udaipur city. It has 52 Jinalayas and 1,100 pillars (as per Wikipedia). It has idols of Durga Maa, Shiva, Gopal (Krishna), Brahma apart from all the 24 Tirthankaras of Jainism and Padmavati Maa. The carvings on each of its pillars is exquisitely beautiful. It is a tirthskhetra for Jains and Hindus. It is visited by local Bhils, Jains and NonJains and foreign tourists a lot. It is a must visit for the enthusiasts or scholars of ancient art and architecture, historians, photographers, students of religious studies.
