For this reason, it was not a much-visited temple previously. The 387 metres ropeway cable line that runs from Deendayal Upadhyay Park to Karni Mata Temple at hilltop also happens to be the first ropeway transportation of Rajasthan.

Its only the vantage point that you get of the entire udaipur city from the top and also the ropeway experience which is for not so much a long distance.but overall its windy and scenic above. So must visit once. Also currently temple extension is going on so might as well expect a bigger and much better experience in future.

One gets a bird's eye view of the city, Lake Pichola and all the palaces, temples and hotels around the lake. Photographers' delight. Make sure a zoom lens cam is at hand. The top of the hill is best for sunset shots.
