Samy’s Curry was founded by the excellent chef Mr. M. Veerasamy back in the 1960’s and the restaurant remains a family run establishment to this day. Mr. M. Veerasamy was born in the southern part of India. He came to Singapore to work as a cook for a group of Indian merchants who came to do trading in Singapore. CUISINES Indian, Singaporean, Asian. One of my favorite curry restaurants in Singapore. The food is served on banana leaf and is always fresh and delicious. Have never eaten anything that wasn’t delicious. Located of Dempsey road in a complex that has revitalized the old barracks from years past. Lots of Shoppe, restaurants and antiques there now. If you love curry...a must.

Very authentic & spicy Indian food I have eaten in a long long time. At a lot of places, spicy will just be an overdose of chilli, but here it's a perfect blend of spices which enhances the flavor and satisfies your taste buds. The banana leaf adds to the authenticity!

Food is really good and inexpensive. Everything here is just top quality. Don’t expect 5 star service. Food however, expect it to be good and quick.

Great place to bring overseas guests, but expensive if just eating casually. The pluses include the nice landscape and greenery around the place, and the old-style area, as well as the upmarket feel of being in Dempsey area. Taste-wise, sometimes the standard is a bit inconsistent, but I will always come here from time to time as it is a Singapore classic.

Very good and affordable Indian food. Fast serving and free flow of Indian salad. Lunch time queue seems long but flow is fast.
