The Little India Arcade is a bustling shopping centre nestled in the heart of Little India. The vibrant and chaotic winding alley has a collection of 20th-century shophouses selling jewellery, silverware, silk sarees, handicrafts, traditional Indian clothes and souvenirs. Not only is the Little India Arcade an amazing place to shop at, but it also has some of the finest Indian cuisine restaurants, where visitors can stop by for a quick meal. It owes its existence to PGP who was employed as a clerk-cum-coolie at a provision along the Serangoon Road. Through his hard efforts and determination, PGP made his fortune by expanding into the sale of textile. The corner building is now a prominent landmark in Little India - a hub of eateries, boutiques, and traditional Malaya's colonial era-shophouses.

Handy merchants, end up paying more on seasonal items. Plan buy on non Hindu festivals. Afternoon is a good time for easy buy experience. All items are price negotiable. Ask for better quotes !!

I will never recommend any one to visit this place. If you order a set of briyani meal, there will be hidden costs to pay for the request of the gravy! It will not come together as a part of the said meal. Besides, the service is extremely poor and yet, a customer is liable to pay an unreasonable service charge. The food prices are exorbitant and the quantity and quality are compromised. It is not worth visiting this place.

A very colourful area of Singapore that is, like Chinatown, always busy/bustling! There are plenty of shops/jewellers, eateries, etc, but look out for the colourful buildings and murals and especially the temples. Very photogenic in places - probably more so than Chinatown, the River or Marina Bay. Well worth seeing - a highlight.
