Hotel is good with a nice view. I stayed at the hotel only once long time back but I was very happy with the services. Morning buffet was delicious with an option of getting anything of your choice if was not available at the point. In all I liked the place and can recommend others to stay here with your family.

Great staying in shimla, in here Surya Hotel. Nice spacious rooms also, nice view side room for seeing sunset in evening. Hotel dining area is quiet large for 20 to 30 people . Room service & maintenance is good enough! Mall road is just 50 m to 70 m for room backside walking distance.. Only comment is on the bathroom size is little bit smaller... & It can be more clean.. But overall it was a good stay at shimla..

We visited hotel Surya soon after the lockdown was over. To my disappointment the hotel lacked staff even though they had full bookings. The rooms were fair with respect to size and facilities. Housekeeping and breakfast buffet was extremely poor. We stayed there for two days and our room was not cleaned even once, water, tea n milk saches were not refilled, coffee was not provided at all. In the day we reached there, at around 2.30, they refused that they do not have lunch as kitchen is not fully operational. We did not try the dinner forbthat reason. Next day, In the breakfast buffet, a cockroach appeared from inside the tea kettle as soon as we wanted to take the tea. Though it was replaced but the service was slow and poor. The staff seemed extremely exhausted and it was reflecting on their faces. The rooms were not cheap at all, so all this compromise was not acceptable. I saw a board asking for positive user rating and getting 10% discount on food bill. Just want to tell them that misleading my readers is not my style for any bribe. We hired a cab from the hotel which was reasonable and dependable. There was no good view from the hotel as was displayed in pics on websites. In all, my shimla experience lacked because of unsatisfactory hotel experience.

It's an amazing experience during my stay at Surya. The view is awesome. If you are someone who likes to admire the beauty of nature its an amazing view then. The staffs are very friendly and very helpful. The food quality is great. The location is very strategic too. It's a 5 min walk to the famous mall road. Also the sight seeing services arranged by the hotel is great and reasonable, the drivers are very friendly.
