The vision of its founders, Yorit and Aviram Rozin, is to transform 70 acres of severely eroded, arid land on the outskirts of Auroville. In a spirit of human unity, their aim is to introduce a growing number of people to sustainable living, food security through ecological transformation, wasteland reclamation, and veganism. Our energy and resources are focused on the creation of a vibrant, indigenous Tropical Dry Evergreen Forest (TDEF). Sadhana Forest won the third place in the Humanitarian Water and Food Award (WAF) 2010. The ceremony took place in the Marble Hall of the University of Copenhagen, Denmark, on November 25th, 2010. Shri Ashok Kumar Attri the Ambassador of India to Denmark honored Sadhana Forest by attending the ceremony. This award is an international recognition of the quality of the ecological and humanitarian work done by Sadhana Forest in India and Haiti.

Spent my birthday here, volunteering and sharing perspectives. The first impression has made a lasting impression - Community living and reforestation activities. Stories of kindness and lived experiences. A place where you can explore yourself and nature in greater depths.

Amazing to see the dedication with which this forest has been built. More such initiatives need to make the world a better place

I will say ok, instead of saying good. A 2 hour tourist spot. Not upto the expected mark.

We got to learn a lot about vegan lifestyle and to care about nature. Would definitely join as a volunteer in future.

Was very fortunate to land at this place and learn about sustainable living and importance of our ecosystem. Obviously this wasn't on our Pondy trip itinerary, but thanks to Auroville being shut for visitors, we could visit this pace to our journey back. Although only about 4-5 volunteers were living there and there was some construction work going inside, Shek, our volunteer, took a great tour of the entire forest and different project they run. Would really love to come back later and spend few days there to understand our lives and the nature better Visited on: 20th Nov'20
