The ancient fishermen hamlet of Pudukkupam established during the Chola period (IX-XII century) is located 10 kms south of Pondicherry city, in the Coromandel coast of the Bay of Bengal. Being near to the estuary of the Chunambar river and the Indian ocean it has a privileged ecological position, not far from the roman ruins of Arikkamedu, a port established in the first century of our era. It is between this hamlet and Pooranankuppam, the rice bowl of this region.

Resort is really beautiful, peaceful. The private beach is also clean. The only point to be worked on is the room service. It's seemingly good but they can do better. Staff is very polite. Food is good. But I would've loved more if they used more spice

We stayed here in 2020 Christmas days. Rooms were neat. stayed in both private pool suite and deluxe room.Private pool suite was awesome. Deluxe room was also good. Good room service. Beach is very near to the resort and is not a private beach. Entry to beach is restricted to 6 am to 6 pm. Resort restaurant food is tasty, but there is some confusion in billing section I had to wait all the times. You can save time if you order food to your room. There are bicycles, badminton Court, tennis court etc. You can easily spend 2 days in this resort and relax. Overall I liked it.

We had an excellent stay at RKN beach resort recently. The executive pool room was spacious, comfortable, clean and modern. The private pool was clean and very useful due to no access to public pools considering COVID-19. Hot water in the bathrooms was not available most of the time and could be improved. The room service was good and the menu offers south and north indian cuisine with vegetarian and meat options at reasonable prices. Free buffet breakfast offered a wide variety of items including fresh juices and milkshakes. Access to a private beach is within the property and a life guard accompanies the guests going to the beach. The beach could have been a lot more cleaner. There is a big outdoor playground for kids in addition to tennis court and indoor playroom. Staff at the reception, restaurant, room service, housekeeping and security are all friendly and accommodating. In comparison to another resort nearby, the room prices are affordable with similar amenities. Overall we had a great experience at the resort and would definitely return next time.

Great place with close access to the beach, lots of activities to do in the resort and a well maintained property. The rooms are a bit small but comfortable and has all the required amenities. Food was also tasty. Overall a pleasant experience!

One of the best resorts I've ever visited. Unmatched with any other resorts in Pondicherry!!! PROS - It had a private kind of beach but it is public. Can be accessible from the back gate and is available to access from 6AM to 6 PM. 3-4 Swimming pools. Best part is the beach view swimming pool which is near the back gate. Tennis court Shuttle court Restaurant & Bar Spa & Gym Overall, very supportive staff with great maintenance. Amazing for photo shoots. CONS - Slightly away from the town. Suggestion - Book the resort for minium 2 days so that you can experience all the facilities in the resort including the beach which is the best part of the stay!!!
