If there is one garden you really must visit when you go to the Eiffel Tower, it’s the Trocadéro gardens. Created for the Universal Exposition in 1937, this green space of nearly 10,000 m² offers a stunning view of the Eiffel Tower dominating the capital (don’t forget your camera). The centrepiece of the gardens is the famous Warsaw fountains which, with its 20 water cannons, offers a remarkable water display, especially on summer evenings when the illuminations around the fountains add to the attraction. There are a number of sculptures to be admired, including gilded bronze animal statues, and the two stone statues, 'L'homme' by Pierre Traverse and 'La Femme' by Daniel Bacqué.

It's one of the best spots for getting pictures/videos of the Eiffel Tower. I would recommend a day time visit as well as a night time. You won't regret it. You'll be able to get some fantastic shots quite easily. Make time and be patient in the evening as the crowd will be larger. The tourists will take over the wall so you will have to be patient to finally get a spot there to get your photo-bomb-free shots. The tower will sparkle for 5 minutes on each hour. Sit on the steps or bring a blanket to sit in the grass during pleasant weather days/nights. Share some wine and enjoy.

Fantastic views all around the area and there is a lot of open space to just chill and hangout with friends. It’s also a great location to take your Eiffel Towers pictures. Usually not too busy and photos from there during the day or night gives a good angle of the Tower. A must visit when in Paris.

This is where the iconic views of the Eiffel tower are shot. From the top of the stairs you have a commanding view of the tower. This is also a lively place after dark with street performers. You will find yourself coming back to this spot more than once if you are in Paris for any length of time. The museum was being renovated during my visit so I can't comment. Go here and enjoy the view.

I saw this from the top of the Eiffel Tower and wondered what it was. It looked to just be gardens. The next day I visited it and found it to be beautiful gardens! But the real treasure what the best view of the Eiffel Tower I saw while I was in Paris. And there’s peaceful benches to sit on and enjoy the view from. This is a must!

Totally cromulent tour agency with a great variety of tours and guides. We chose a half-day tour of Versailles, which was about right. Our guide used an electronic system and we wore headphones to hear. High quality information and a nice bus. It was an annual day-without-cars in Paris, so they let us out at a Metro station at noon. Paris is very easy to navigate via the Metro
