Nestled in the heart of Paris, close to the Opéra Garnier, this historic location is full of the spirit and character that Fragonard wanted to preserve. In years gone by it was a theatre, a velodrome and the home of a British furniture retailer, Maple & Co. The museum reveals the secrets to the perfume trade, as well as a magnificent collection of precious objects tracing the history of perfume from antiquity to the present day. Immersed in the atmosphere of a late nineteenth century perfume factory, visitors will discover the world of fragrance through a design that combines ancient artefacts, archives and videos of modern production. This is a unique olfactory journey in Paris!

Place is nice and informative. Gives you a good history of the making of parfum. Able to purchase non-commercial smelling perfume at decent prices. However, trip was ruined completely by the doorman who “greeted” us. Rudely shouted at us to line up in rows of 2 (we ain’t in the army). Hints of racism could be observed from his tone. Absolutely killed the mood for the visit. Attached is the photo of the doorman, eyes censored out for privacy reasons. Once again, 1 star for this place (would definitely not hesitate a 0 star should Google allow me). Until Musée du Parfum sorts this fella out, I don’t think you should visit them anytime soon. Worth not visiting if you don’t want to be given rude treatment.

I have found my new home. The tour was engaging and informative. Gave just enough history to not be overwhelming or boring. The store at the end was fairly priced in comparison to any department story with better quality. I have found my new place for unique fragrances.

Extra ordinary experience in Paris. Curator Manon was very kind and helpful, what she taught me really opened my eyes in a whole new world of parfum. Very informative, enjoyable place you must visit ;)

First of all, this is a free entry museum. There is exactly no cost to visit this museum. There is no catch. They show some old equipments of perfume making and video of how they use to extract essence and oils. Also how they transformed their technology. In addition to these, towards the end of the tour they sell their perfume. I would suggest you to definitely buy one. Because this is really a good one. It has good retention.

Anna speak a perfect mandarin. Good job and well done. Even though I am not much of a perfume person but I am impressed with Anna's presentation. Recommended place to visit.
