I was very excited to dine at Le Cinq. This is our (with wife) first visit to Paris and we typically try to hit Michelin restaurants when we travel. However, as the night unfolded, I began to become disenchanted with the entire experience. For a Michelin star restaurant, I have never experienced service so lack luster. At times we waited for over 35 minutes to be attended to (empty drinks). Patrons who spoke French as a first language were doted over and received exemplary service. Admittedly, we do not speak French well. However, this is a Michelin restaurant in an international hotel (Four Seasons). We received better service at smaller bistros (off the beaten path places) in Paris. The palatability of the food was good at best. I would not recommend dinning there unless one wanted to spend 1600 euros and the possibility of being overlooked. We will not be dinning there again. FYI, we dined at Epicure (3 Michelin Stars) in Le Bristol the same week and the service was beyond exceptional!
