Clean, comfortable room (superior #62). Very friendly, accommodating staff that speak English. Recommend!

This hotel offers basic needs to the traveller, no fancy toiletries and no tea and coffee making facilities in the small en suite room. However it is well maintained, the rooms get fresh towels every day and my bed was very comfortable. It is located on a quiet street next to the beautiful Jardin de Luxembourg, with a very good restaurant at the end of the street. If this location on the left bank suits your needs I would recommend this hotel for a central Paris location on a budget.

Elegant. Went there with my cousins in winter and enjoyed the visit to Paris. Very spacious accommodation. Worth the cost they offer.

I rarely give a bad review but this hotel did not live up to expectations. Yes the rooms were small and a bit out of date, but considering that price that was to be expected. What I didn't expect is that the room was not clean. It was not clean on arrival and was not cleaned properly during our stay. Nail clippings on the bathroom floor, and hair on the shower floor (which remain there after the room was "cleaned" the following day since we didn't use the shower the first night.) There was mold under the silicon grout and not just a little either. The carpet was dirty although to be fair it could have been just old stains that are now permanent. We choose not to look to closely at the room condition since we would be there only two nights and we are not very picky about that sort of thing. The thing that bothered me the most though was that there was a nail that stuck out of the carpeted floor a good solid quarter of an inch above the carpet, right in the doorway to the bathroom. As my wife is diabetic we are very careful about foot injuries. I had to lay the shower rug folded double over it so she didn't step on it in the night. I mention this for a few reasons. First of all I find it difficult to believe that the cleaning help had never noticed it (since it clearly didn't pop up there overnight). Secondly I also found it difficult to believe that no one reported it before we got that room. Lastly when I told the gentleman at the front desk I was left with the impression that it would be immediately forgotten once we left. I say that because when I described the issue to him he didn't seem terribly interested, and after I described precisely where it was just out side the bathroom door he then asked me if it was in the room? ....it was as if he wasn't listening to me at all. He finished up by telling me someone would look at it "tomorrow" but he never wrote anything down nor logged it on to a computer. I suspect, possibly unfairly, that it is still there.
