Backed by the Marais district and opposite the Opéra Bastille, the Café Français shatters prejudices about the brasseries (breweries) at Place de la Bastille. Bar, private lounge, terraces and veranda coexist to savour the tranquility of Paris life. In this large Parisian café with vast spaces, you will find the palette of all Beaumarly talents, including that of interior designer India Mahdavi who mixes materials and plays with the colours of the national flag in order to design one of the most beautiful brasseries of Paris. With a sunny summer terrace, or a winter garden in cold weather, the outside of the Café Français offers a 360° view allowing you to taste Paris while savouring refined French cuisine, sophisticated cocktails and attentive service. CUISINES French, European. Approx cost for two people Rs

I took 55 mins for 1 coffee and it wasn't busy. 3 groups came and left without being served.

We stopped at this cafe while exploring Bastille. It looks out onto the square so it's pretty cool. The food/drinks were just fine, nothing to write home about. I do like that the outdoor seating has an awning so you're not baking in the sun.

Lovely coffee, but a little pricey. Staff attentive and lovely decor. A little pricey, but the view and the little meringue with the drink makes up for that!

The restaurant's name is actually Cafe de Industrie, there are two locations, one across the street from the other but I can't tell you which building we dined in but can say the food was very good, likely more traditional French dishes, like my beef bourguignon. Delicious but maybe not adventurous. My wife and I split two starters, one escargot and a terrine, which she followed with a really good quiche du jour. The place was lively, getting very busy by 9pm. While the servers were very busy, we didn't have to wait long for anything. Highly recommend if in the area and enjoy French comfort food.
