Outrigger is definitely one of the best resorts in Mauritius. The rooms are outstanding and the service is also good. We stayed at 4 different resorts during our stay there and Outrigger came out to be the best one out of all. Since it is located in South Mauritius the scenic beauty is really amazing. The only problem we faced here was that we were charged 200 Mur for the water we had in the restaurant. The only issue is when they gave us the bill the water was not charged but during the check out it was mentioned in the bill. It would have been better if they could have just added it while we were in the restaurant. So that was a bit of a surprise for us. The ac didn't cool the room as much as it should have, so that was another issue. Other than that we had a great time here.

Food and staff really great. The choice of buffets in Mercado restaurant was amazing and receives a 9 out of 10. The local food and curries our favourite.. gave a 3 star to the hotel itself, as the attention to detail needs work.. hooks on curtains in bedroom, a lot have fallen off.. no plug for kettle in the main room, so you make tea in the bathroom!!! That is totally not acceptable and NOT 5 star hotel. Tea cups should be washed and clean ones put back. Spa, we received a great massage. However ladies shower blocked so showered in a pool of water, no shampoo and conditioner in the shower.. Mens shower no hot water. Again not acceptable for a supposed 5 star Hotel. I personally feel that a lot of 5 star Hotels should have their star ratings re inspected every year. The Plantation Club restaurant is fine dining at its best. That i give a 10 out of 10.

This is a very nice resort, suitable for young families and couples. Location is great and the staff is wonderful. It's advertised as a 5 star resort but it is more like a 3-4 star resort. Especially the rooms are a bit dates and tired looking. Restaurants, pool area and beach do look like a 5 star resort, however it's not up to that level in terms of luxury. Can't fault the staff, they go above and beyond and the food is great too. We had a lovely time.

No value for money! Stained towel in the room, shower water not draining properly, 1 sink was not draining properly, garden door did not close properly! Staff seems lost and unprofessional. Would not recommend. Food was good though and the beach and pool is nice. Otherwise really not worth it

I don't have words to define the experience we had at Outrigger. Thank you to the staff, security and the personal touches they provide. Starting from the drive towards the resort, room, beach and activities, everything was made out to be a dream holiday. Although, one could find multiple resorts in Mauritius, but the experience you get at this resort is not comparable. Thank you again for the wonderful stay.
