Erected just after World War II, Marie Reine de la Paix has always been a place of pilgrimage. In October 1989, thousands of islanders attended the mass celebrated by Pope John Paul when he made his first official visit to Mauritius. It's an open church.

One good tourist destination. Its way high from sea level. The view of city and Mauritius from this place is awesome. You can see this fort was in many movies . You may be lucky sometimes to see movie shooting happening there. Even though a small place and little to see , you can get some frames for memory.

It's a historic place situated near the city of Port Louis. It has a beautiful view from top from where you can have a panoramic look of the entire city. There is a Mother Mary statue on top which has some religious and historical significance. I went there when I was on a city tour and really liked the place as it has a great scenic view.
