Built-in 1830, Eureka House (Maison Eureka) is a major tourist attraction in Mauritius, located at Moka, Central Mauritius. This erstwhile colonial residence of English and French aristocrats has been converted into a museum dedicated to the colonial period of Mauritius. With its 109 doors and windows, it is famous as the largest house on the island. The museum has areas dedicated to music, art, maps, and Chinese & Indian housewares. Many small waterfalls, lush greenery, endemic plants, Lake Moka, and lavish gardens surround the museum.

Beautiful colonial house set in the backdrop of hills with a private waterfall! This is a beautiful colonial house with huge gardens, antique collection and a private water fall! We were welcomed by the staff. One of the members gave us a little tour of the place and briefed us about the history and the significance of the collections displayed. After this we walked to see the waterfall with the mansion. This involves a walk of about 10 minutes through the backyard of the mansion. The waterfall is nice and refreshing!

Interesting and nice colonial house near Port Louis. Tours are also available. There's also a restaurant with nice food. Also make sure to visit the waterfalls in the valley next to the house. This is actually an amazingly beautiful piece of nature.

Maison Eureka is a nice colonial house with a nice garden and there is also a little waterfall close the house. Eureka House is a Creole house built in mid XIX century and is known as one of the largest houses on the island. This is a unique place to visit in Mauritius.
