After a long flight, it is quite nice to have just a 15-minutes transfer to finally reach your holiday destination. Le Peninsula Bay Beach Resort & Spa…….! Close to the airport, and within the neighbourhood of Mahébourg, a pretty village, preserved and relaxed, ideal for strolling to discover its market with colourful stalls, the Naval Museum and its typical streets. From the hotel , it's only a short walk to Pointe d'Esny, for lovers of kite surf and windsurf, Henri Rault's manioc biscuit factory, La Vanille Réserve des Mascareignes, with its giant tortoises, and many other interesting places to visit.

A nice premium 2 star hotel i would say ( they claim its a 3 star). Food was good but service quite poor. Whatever you need to drink, please go and take from the bar, no table service was available in the restaurant.

The resort was good. We had a pleasant stay there. The staff prepared special vegetarian food for us.

We were charged 213 euros for a room that had a flickering light and a leaking toilet. Staff were helpful, but the room still stank. The air conditioning in the room is very loud, very bright at night and doesn't appear to cool the room at all. Half board was included, however the food is pretty ordinary, we've had some amazing meals in Mauritius, so it was a real shame to be served canned mushrooms at breakfast. There are a lot of cats around, and I saw a rat on the beach in daylight. Activities are included, so that's nice.
