The La Vanille Crocodile Park totally lives up to its name. It is home to some of the most misunderstood creatures around in the world, crocodiles. It also has a wide range of giant tortoises. The crocodiles are the showstopper of this park but you can also explore around a number of other kinds of reptiles and plants too in the area around. If butterflies are your thing, you can witness a wide range of rare butterflies in the park as well. It is one of the best places to visit for sightseeing in Mauritius.

A small zoo type of nature park. Wonderful to look at, a great family outing. Lots of indigenous animals, some of which you can really experience up close and personal. Including holding a baby crocodile. Better pack mosquito repellant though, or you'll be eaten alive.

Experience of a lifetime! My first visit to Mauritius. Was so much fun to see the giant tortoise so up-close. The Alligators and Can were just majestic! Must visit with the entire family. Kids will have a great time. Better to plan for second half of the day.

Relatively small park but with plenty of fun for everyone. Nice restaurant with crocodile dishes makes it unique. Pricewise very competitive. Feeding baby crocodiles as and turtles at extra costs but worth it.

I went there when I was a child then again now with family after 20 years. It's pretty boring as you would expect from crocs but enjoyed it. There are other animals as well. Highlight of the day was when I saw a tortoise going for it at full throttle on top of another one. I know where the word hammering comes from now.

If you can only visit 1 animal park in Mauritius it should be this park. Be there before 11.30hr so you can witness the feeding of the crocodiles. ..it will be an everlasting experience aswell as your visit to the hundreds of giant land turtles some even over hundred year old.....lots of parking and a superb restaurant to have lunch in a totally exotic environment !
