Description
Grand Bay, (or Grand Baie) is a seaside village and large tourist beach in the district of Rivière du Rempart at the north of Mauritius. Grand Bay is also known for its night-life as it hosts most of the island best bars and night-clubs, including Banana Café, Zanzibar, Les Enfants Terribles and the famous Buddha Bar.

It's a very scenic spot. Parking is very difficult. Be careful of sleazy cab drivers. I would not swim at Grand Baie public beach because there are at few stream run offs that flows into that Baie whenever it rains. Lots of street food vendors at the beach parking lot. A lot of nice restaurants across the street.
