This market is known to be one of the largest markets in Mauritius and therefore the variety is endless. You’ll find many stalls with clothing accessories, souvenirs, and a variety of dishes. As the biggest open-air market in Mauritius, Flacq should definitely be listed in your itinerary if you want to learn about the vibrant local culture here.

Very busy and vibrant market. You can get anything from fresh vegetables, fruits, to clothes, local crafts and local street food as well. Parking facilities are limited.

nice colorful fruits and vegetables market in Flacq. there are also cloths and classical tourist stuff. open on Sunday and Wednesday. you can walk through without buying anything. nobody complained about me taking some photos with my phone. if you need a toilet, go to the mall some minuets walk away.

We were a bit late to see the whole market, but we met an amazing family selling clothing and they were so friendly. A bit smelly at the back of the market by the water.

VERY Local experience with a lot of vendors selling mostly the same things (mostly fruit, vegetables and clothing). Decent pricing and a taste of local flavors.
