The water has an incredible emerald hue and is among the clearest in Mauritius. Eau Bleue actually consists of six waterfalls scattered in between the dense vegetation and the good news is that they are totally free to visit!

No one will expect to find such a magnificent waterfall in the middle of sugar cane fields, and what's more incredible is when you reach the bank of the river after walking through a steep rocky and muddy pathway, you get to see the lively blue colour of the water.

Loved it!! But it is only active after rains, better to take a local Mauritian guide as they know about the route as well as the best time to go to the falls! Also, while you are at it do not forget to explore the nearby area for photography.

This place is tricky, we went at the beginning of November and were very excited to see beautiful blue lagoon with its waterfalls, but we found only a little bit of dirty water (definitely not blue) and no waterfalls at all. I guess it was because the reservoir was closed, maybe due to lack of water. It was the biggest disappointment of our trip because I think it must be one of the most beautiful places in Mauritius.

Very nice place to visit after heavy rain. The descent is very steep but you can use the branches on both sides to help you get down. The view is just wonderful and there were a lot of people swimming. However please note that there is no parking available. I visited on a Sunday and it was full of people. Cars were parked along one side of the road and policemen shortly arrived to ask them to go or give fines for blocking the road. I had spotted few spots in the sugar cane fills while driving closer to the waterfall but they were all full.
