Nice atmosphere. Bad food. Vegetarian main course tastes like vomit and deserts are above tolerable amount of sugar

Another one of the buildings that exhibits hints of colonisation in Mauritius is the Chateau de Labourdonnais. This is one of the best places to see in Mauritius and people can witness the grand and massive mansion which was once a residence of Christian Wiehe who lived with his family but in the present days, Chateau de Labourdonnais is a famous and heritage tourism spot. The Victorian vibes showcased by the exterior designs and internal decor makes this building a favorite among locals and tourists alike. The antique aura, vintage furniture, cobbled paths, and lush green gardens of this building takes away the breath of spectators.

A beautifully restored mansion. Amazing garden to relax and enjoy a variety of locally produced Rum and jelly fruit cubes. A definite bucket list item for all tourists visiting the North of Mauritius. Beautiful antique furniture on display. Wooden floors to blow your mind away. Craftsmanship of outstanding historical value. This gem is only 10 minutes from Grand Baie

Beautifully curated 19th century plantation chateau with impeccable furnishings and French/English tour info. The spiral staircase and beautiful study were the highlights for me.

Nice fruit and rum tasting. The trip around the plantation was fine, however it was hard to understand the guide and it was hard to see the fruits and trees from some distance. In the Chateau not everything is translated to english, so without a guide the trip wasn't as interesting as expected.
