Arrived to the hotel Ambre and we met up with Allen who shows us the hotel area. We felt very welcomed. Nice rooms and good food. All employees at the hotel have a kind and very helpful, service minded attitude. Davina at the spa was doing an fantastic facial treatment to and my friend Linda. The gym is good and fresh. Good coffee at the bar. This is a fantastic memory of or lives.

The Hotel was very nice overall. The room was adequate, but the food was excellent. The main restaurant was very nice, but the buffet was excellent and had a very wide choice of food available for both lunch and dinner. The views were also amazing. The pool was very clean which also goes for the rest of the areas. Most staff were very friendly. An overall very positive first experience for a Mauritius holiday. The only negative point I have on our "all exclusive" holiday was the choice of drinks. Branded drinks had to be paid for so i was left drinking a weak spirit drink all week.

Edited to respond to reply: I received the email about the transportation which I replied to as requested to confirm the pick up. Airport transfer aside, this does not excuse the attitude of staff who did not make us feel welcome or comfortable for our entire stay. We had to decide find the whole situation amusing so as not to ruin our holiday. The pre arranged transport from the airport didn’t show up so we had to hire a car. The staff had no record of it and didn’t seem bothered. Check in was chaos and again the staff didn’t seem bothered. Any questions that were asked were listen to by the staff but never actually answered as they just wandered off, never to be seen again. A smile could go a long way to rectify such situations but not sure I saw a single one. We’ve stayed in far better all inclusive resorts in Mauritius with a lot more choice and far better staff. Please filter out the 5 star reviews on Trip Advisor (all written in the same style by one review accounts) the average to poor ones are far more honest. If we had travelled further to get to this hotel, as many guests had, we would have been a lot more disappointed. As it was, we put it down to a bad choice and we’ll choose more carefully in the future.

I had the most wonderful stay for my birthday with my wife with charming personnel. Much appreciated the staff where there's no distinction in service whether you are a Mauritian or a foreigner the hotel manager was really warm. Felt really special during our stay. Been taken care of since arrival till departure everything went on smoothly very good concept. we had an extraordinary weekend at the hotel.

Came back home from Australia after 8 years. The team made us feel welcome and at home. They made the bad weather feeling go away. We spent 2 nights there, had the best food ever and the drinks could not come any faster. The only downside is the duration, we just wished for a longer time there.
