It is a beautiful tourist destination near Mall road. it is a very appropriate place for all age group from children to old people. there is a man-made lake where we can do boating for an extra charge.also there is a lovely park for children and an exercise area for elderly people.Also have rest areas and small path through which we can walk with our loved ones , refreshment area and ao on.This place gives a wonderful experience and a feel of relaxation when walking through this beautiful quite park.

We went to this place in evening. It was cold atmosphere but worth going and exploring this place. The trees here are so beautiful and tall, best part of this Van Vihar garden is find a place for seating and enjoy the beauty of this place. This is natural place so people must take care of insects and reptiles. We like the tall trees and terrain of this Vihar. Worth visiting this place. While going to this place please carry some warm clothes and water to drink. Beautiful place

Calm place to take a walk. Even better if it's snowing. It is a great place to relax your mind since it's not much crowded. There are also some small coffee shops to have a coffee and maybe a light snack. If you visit Manali, don't forget to check this place out.

Van Vihar is located pretty close to the Mall Road and quite a popular destination among people visiting Manali, Actually the major rush was at the ticket counter, food stalls n boating area. Ideally one should trek further down the trail ,,, which was really fun, not many people around ... you can enjoy nature n click pics :) The trail is well marked, with information on trees, animals, birds etc and music speakers at some distance. You can sit n relax and then keep walking The pine trees were really tall and there r quite a few, you dont hear the traffic or city pollution. The boating area was actually not great, we left this area within few minutes. There is a snacks shop near the entry/ exit gate which was quite busy, there are enough swings for kids to hang out ... and enough seating benches etc. I would recommend a visit once in Manali. I think the ticket was INR 25 for adults n INR 15 for kids, no ticket below 3 years.
