Booked luxury room with balcony, reached hotel, waited for 1.5 hours for my room to get ready, and then cancelled my booking because of the following reasons: staff at reception is borderline rude. The reception is manned by two people and they both will tell you different stories about your room. One would hear your request of getting a room at higher floor with valley facing (which was actually mentioned in my booking confirmation) and would tell you that you’ll get such room only, the other one would simply deny and say such rooms are not available in hotel, they don’t exist. They’ll keep on saying your room is getting ready in 15 mins and then would make you wait for an hour (I reached at 10 with early check in option). Later, when I talked about cancelling my booking, the room magically appeared in hotel and reception staff told me that they’ll shift me in such a room in a couple of days. They’ll only show front facing pictures on YouTube, their website and booking sites. But they have rear facing rooms as well and the view is simply not appealing. Avoid because the staff is rude, they lie on your face, they seem to care more about their own convenience than their customer’s. I had a booking for 7 days, and when I told them that, their attitudes softened. So yeah, money matters :)
