The Valvan Dam is a huge water barrage that serves as the water source for the generation of electricity at the Khopoli Power Station, which is owned by Tata Power and is located at the foothills of the Sahyadri Mountains. Beautiful place, but some people made it dirty, throughing trash here and there. ( Lake is not for swimming I guess, there's an very old banner saying people not to go in waters, it might be dangerous)
