One of the landmarks in our city. The cleanliness and quality of the roads need attention. Much of it comes from us citizens being more responsible towards the cleanliness of this beautiful structure.

Marvelous drive! However, you can not sail smooth, due to the bumps at the bridge joints, and the scars on the top layer of the road. It is rather marvelous in views due to its architecture view during drive and the view of the river. The Toll here is still not Fastag enabled.

The most loved place for photographers and nature lovers. The bridge seems to attract people for the beautiful scene of Kolkata it offers. During cloudy days a view from that view made me realize how small we are. It is well maintained, the roads are smooth and absolutely no traffic.

Also known as the Second Hooghly Bridge, Vidyasagar Setu is a cable-stayed toll bridge over the Hooghly River, connecting Kolkata and Howrah. Named after the 19th century Bengali polymath Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar, it is one of the longest bridges in Asia. The bridge spans for over 457 m in length and is around 35 m wide. This cable-styled bridge has 121 cables in a fan-like arrangement that have been built using steel pylons that are around 127.6 m high. Construction of the bridge started in 1978 and was completed in 1992. Vidyasagar Setu was finally commissioned in October 1992 and opened to public thereafter. It is one of the most prominent bridges in eastern India and is known for its architectural splendour. If you love long drives, it is one of the best places to enjoy the same, especially late at night.
