The hotel provides a good 5-star service at a reasonable price. The problem is the series of local taxes that one has to pay for luxury in West Bengal. Soon one realises that eating and drinking outside the hotel in non-5-star establishments is much much cheaper. The hotel is surrounded by such establishments. As a result the hotel bar and restaurants are usually empty. The local luxury taxes have killed many high end businesses in West Bengal, and it is a surprise that 5-star establishments exist in Kolkata!

The oldest hotel which was taken over by The Lalit group and renovated it to a modern 5* hotel by keeping the outside facade same and to an extent keeping some of the internal structure as well.The rooms are big,well decorated.The entrance lobby is quiet big and the reception has smiling faces welcoming the guests.The restaurant has big spread of buffet items which are tasty ,sumptuous and yummy.Even the spa is well maintained and provide good service.

Great Hotel to visit with your friends and family for party very clean and good ambiance food is also good and last but no least it is budget friendly.

The hotel is fab. The staff is perfect. The place is sheer classic beauty but the bad rating is just because of the security at the service gate. Arrogant, rude and stubborn with zero sense of hospitality etiquettes

I tried buffet. Awesome menu & lots of food from Indian to continental food. There are variety of food to choose from. The buffet price was INR 999. I got it as a discount offer. Please check the actual price from the hotel. The ambiance was really really nice. Service was awesome
