Kolkata's Santosh Mitra Square has a mesmerising Durga idol made of 50kgs of pure gold and it costs Rs 50 lakh. It is all about festivals right now in India. While some are busying playing Dandiya, some are celebrating Durga Pujo. A Durga Puja festival is held every year at this city green space with a playground & a pool.

Santosh Mitra square club itself a good place. I visited two times in this club but the way to reach the Santosh Mitra square is not so good. Specifically, on puja time. It little bit harder to reach there. Other wise it good to see.

Unique as always, it's a must every year for me and my family and they never disappoint. It's a crowd puller so be careful when visiting with small children. They do not have any separate entry for people carrying babies/small kids, would request the organizers to accommodate.

Good place to spent time. If u are a student or a worker and want to get a small break u can visit this place anytime. Cool breeze flows 24*7 and a swimming club or school is also present here

The bengali peoples who live there are very good and have nice peace full behaviour but some of them are very very poor or sleeps at road's footpath...this place is a easy short or quick route for those office employees who live near...
