This is the house of another daughter of Rani Rashmoni. The place is beautiful and have a Puja place. But the place is simply made parking lot now. Government intervention is urgently needed to protect Bengal Heritage.

Frustrated to see the Building of Rani Rashmoni, who has done so many things beneficial to the public. Heritage building is poorly maintained. Need urgent attention of the Bengal Government.

The construction makes you nostalgic and you would love to be a part of the lineage of the great lady who was rightly named Lokmata. Worth visiting the place.

One of my favourite heritage buildings of Kolkata. Rani Maa's residence. Pride of Kolkata. Pride of India. The former residents of this house helped the freedom fighters of our country and was engaged in many philanthropic work. Unlike, the residents of Shovabajar rajbari who were the Dallas of British.

Rani Rashmoni (28 September 1793 – 19 February 1861) was the founder of the Dakshineswar Kali Temple, Kolkata, and remained closely associated with Sri Ramakrishna Paramhansa after she appointed him as the priest of the temple. Her other construction works include the construction of a road from Subarnarekha River to Puri for the pilgrims, Babughat (also known as Babu Rajchandra Das Ghat), Ahiritola Ghat and Nimtala Ghat for the everyday bathers at the Ganges. She also offered considerable charity to the Imperial Library (now the National Library of India), the Hindu College (now Presidency University).[1] Presently, the Lokamata Rani Rashmoni Mission is situated at Nimpith, South 24 Parganas, West Bengal, 743338, India
