When I reached there it was closing time. So I could not see the place in detail. I want to inform you how to reach this place conveniently. If you are in Howrah railway station, go to the Howrah Bus stand which is very near (walkable distance) to the railway station. From there are lots of buses plying in this route. Vivekananda house house is hardly 4 KM away. Bus will take you there with in 20 minutes at less than ₹10. When I first approached a taxi what they asked is ₹400/-. So decide yourself as per your convenience.

This is the abode of the renowned patriotic saint which would give you insights into the childhood and upbringing of the person. There is even a brief video presentation of it. The articles by Swamiji are the main attractions. The place is so well maintained and pristine that one will have spiritual impression soothing his nerves. The aura is so positive and vibrant.

This is where Swami Vivekananda was born. The original house has been restored by Ramakrishna Mission. Great effort. The house has been declared as a grade 1 heritage building. Original furniture, artefacts, the musical instruments etc. are displayed in the adjoining museum. A must see place for every one.
