The Rail Museum is located in Howrah, Kolkata. It is considered as the second rail museum to be constructed after National Rail Museum, Delhi. The museum also consists of preserved old and rare steam engines, electric locomotives, tracks and signals. There is a miniature of Howrah Railway Station inside the museum. Charming museum featuring historic rail cars, plus exhibits on local railroad travel & history.

Nice place to visit with family and friends and also useful for kids. Can spend quality time. Nicely maintained and cured. There is a toy train over there. You can take a ride also. Have the freedom of Photography at any parts of the premises and also gather knowledge relating to Indian Railway System..

Very nice place to visit which friends and family.. and this places too much fun for.. Because they can know about the Indian railway history.. Very clean area.. And I love one of the best thing about this place is there is freedom for photography.. I suggest you everyone to visit this place...

Pretty nice little museum to take out your kids and family. Good for elders too as it is in a small area so lesser walk. It's not crowded so all thumbs up

Nice place with a lot of open space. Great fir small outings. Though no cafeteria inside the museum tickets are very cheap at only 10 indian rupee per person. It has many old models of railway engines. Some are real engines and a toy train ride around the museum with ticket only another 10 rupee per person. Must go place if you have time.

It is a very clean and nice place. Highly recommended for kids and for picnic etc. There is a toy train also. Entry fees for both Entry to museum and for a toy train ride is RS 10 only.
