Very nice displays , much much more than I expected. However the fossils section in the ground floor could have been displayed and explained better. The place over all needs cleaning specially the stairs and all. Some really nice artifacts are kept in corridors left to the elements. Overall a good experience. Needs work and maintaining but great time out with the kids

Most probably oldest museum in India built around 1814. One of the largest museum of India also. Entry fee is rs 30 for Indians and camera charge rs 100. For mobile camera also you need to pay the camera charge. This place is divided in the many halls and rooms. Most interesting section is Egyptian section, zoology and geology. Also the arts section has many important sculptures. Well maintained place. One day is required to visit the whole place.

Awesome experience after 28years. Tour Educational, Informative and entertaining tour. Museum hosts an enormous collection. stones and minerals, invertebrates and other archaeological relics. Watching the mummy was altogether a different and thrilling experience, having heard from a lot of people in my early years. Very relaxing to sit on after a continuous patrol. Kids will love their visit.

This is one of the best museum. I loved it. It takes minimum 2 days only to see the overview. If you are interested to see details at least one week required to do that. If you carrying any type of bag, you have to place it outside and security is there to protect bags. No need to worry. Canteen and bathrooms are available inside the museum.

Probably the Oldest in India and also one of the Biggest. Built around 1814-15, this place holds much treasures from our glorious past. Right from Mummy's presence to Dinosaurs Skeleton everything can be find here. Divided into many Sections and Floors, it needs an Ample amount of time to cover them all. An entry ticket is levied on visitors for maintenance purpose. A must visit for the Enthusiastic people about anything related to our Past.
