It was built by Howrah Development Trust in 1980s in Howrah Dumurjala. Now it is being fully renovated since 2018-19 for competing as national level stadium. The action is going on in full swing. Now six thousand persons can be fully occupied in the available spaces. The floor has been restored to a very good state. The dressing rooms, guest house etc are being constructed. It is well decorated and centrally air-conditioned. The whole work is being supervised by a high power committee consisting members of the Howrah Municipal Corporation, Howrah Development Trust, Housing Infrastructure Development Corporation, Howrah Improvement Trust, Indian Institute of Engineering Science & Technology and Government of West Bengal. It is a several purposes indoor stadium. Cultural events and other social functions are held in the indoor stadium. The area is the best open place in Howrah City. Hundreds people walk around the stadium regularly. The indoor stadium is surrounded by excellent, modern and wonderful roads. The area is a good place for multipurpose outdoor games. The indoor stadium is being maintained in a satisfactory way. It will become a state-of-the-art indoor stadium. In a short time it will be accepted as an important object in Howrah.

A good indoor stadium of not only Howrah but it also a top stadium of Eastern India. Recently this stadium renovatie and becomes a stadium with well facilities.
