Its a must visit place if u r looking for that authentic kolkata vibes, the ambience is cozy, and ship themed one and only floating hotel in kolkata which is built over the river ganga so u'll always get those beautiful city view from ur room as well as from the inhouse resturant area. They keep lots of option in their breakfast buffet from english breakfast to kolkatians favourate kochuri, sobji and jilipi also the staffs were proffesional and helpful. I rate 5/5 for everything as i was preety satisfied their, also it is budget friendly and alot of places are nearby for tourist like victoria memorial, parkstreet, newmarket etc.

The jetty where this boat is moored is unclean and walking through the walkway is risky. However the restaurant and deck area are very beautiful. The view of the Ganges at night are just awesome. But the foods are very ordinary but fresh. Service is very very slow, may be due to the renovations is in progress. Rest rooms are unclean, smelly. Negligence on hygiene and cleanliness are obviously noticeable. Reception is good, cordial.

Just went to meet a guest. 4 stars for the nice place and safety from staff.

Located at 9/10, Kolkata Jetty, Strand Road, Opposite SBI Head Quarters, B.B.D. Bagh, Kolkata, West Bengal 700001, Floatel is India's only floating restuarant on the river Ganga. They have a bar attached to the restuarant. The food is tasty though you will feel the pocket pinch as the charges are bit high. Ideal for candle lit dinner or for couples, this place can also be utilised for small parties. The ambience and staff behaviour was average. Worth a visit.
