I stayed at this hotel in March 1981. It was run by an elderly English couple. A fine servant with a turban served us in the restaurant. CAMPA COLA was 2 rupees in those days. I have very good memories of it. It was not cheap at that time, about 50 USD per night, but it was fully booked. I would like to stay there again.

Good heritage hotel. Friendly service and staffs. They are maintaining the 200 years old articles and building very nice. It has very little parking area. Food is good but bit more price. Situated in highly congested area. Moving in and out is really terrible experience. There are many shopping points around the hotel. Foodies can enjoy traditional Bengali foods near by this hotel. Nice taste

Very poor service. Non cooperative staff. No value for money spent. Vegetarian menu variety not available. No dental kit shaving kit. Hopeless. Highly recommend not to visit. Rooms worth Rs 500. No facilities for senior citizens. Overall very poor.

I had an amazing stay at this beautiful heritage property right in the heart of Kolkata. It was an absolute treat to be here for a day. Reached the place around 11am in the morning. The entire building is filled with intricate decorations and antiques. The staff is friendly and courteous. Now coming to the room it contains all the modern amenities but has a royal touch associated with it. The food of this place is absolutely amazing. For dinner we had tried two Chinese dishes and honestly they were good the show stealer being the fish and chips. The morning breakfast is a buffet spread over here containing of English breakfast and Indian options as well. One can heartily enjoy a meal in the amazing place which is situated just in the heart of the city yet far away from the hustle and bustle. My one day trip to this beautiful place will forever be etched in my mind. Kolkata hardly has anymore heritage properties left and this is surely the best among them.

Food was very nice. This was a pleasant surprise compared to my earlier visits there under the previous ownership. Service is a little slow and has score for improvement.
