Adyapeath temple is a place related to peace and sanctity. During the Aratis, adya stotram is chanted and names of holy deities are also chanted. It gives peace to one's heart. Similarly, small girls reside in the balika ashrama. They are given adequate training and education so that they can secure their own future themselves. One should visit the place for getting inner peace and spiritual relief.

Sree Annada Thakur, receiving an overwhelming blessings of Paramhansa Sri Ramakrishna, started "Adyama temple" in 1328 (Bangabda) near Dakhineswar. It was completed in 1373 (Bangabda). There are there divisions in the temple. One is associated with "Sri Ramakrishna", 2nd one as "Adyama" and third one as "Radha-krishna". Here visitors are not allowed to enter in Adyama temple. Only priests are allowed to come. Adyama is only seen during Arati. Here there are twelve Shiva temples. People come here to get free from anxiety or distress, tranquility and peace. Dakhineswar Ramakrishna Sangha conduct the following schools, Ashrams, Adyapeath charitable dispensary etc. Dakhineswar Adyapeath Annada Government Secondary School, Monikuntaladevi Girl's High School, Adyapeath Boy's Ashram. The place that is really close to my heart, I want to showcase to the world is Dakshineswar Ramkrishna Sangha and Adyapeeth Temple. The architecture and symbolism of main temple of Adyapeath is unique. It is really three temples nestled inside one. The main temple here is not touchable here by general public excey the group of priest. Any one may observe the three idols inside the demple through DARSHAN MANDIR (seperated two storied construction) and this is not while chair accessible. If you come early within 9 AM you may get Ticket of Lunch called PRASADA with nominal Costs. As per the website of Adyapeath, the description of the temple is "The main idol of the temple is not single; these are tri Murti situated one atop other like stair steps. On the bottom stair is a murthi of Sri Ramakrishna, with the word "Guru" inscribed nearby. On the middle stair is a replica of the murthi of Adya Ma found by Annada Thakur in the Eden Garden. This murthi is made of eight metals. Nearby is inscribed "Knowledge and Work." The topmost stair is adorned by the murthis of Radha and Krishna, known all over India as the Divine Couple. They are encircled by the sacred syllable om, and at their feet is inscribed the word "Love." Thus love is the foremost virtue and the clearest path to God." This temple was made of immaculate white marble and opened in 1967 by the Sangha, founded in 1921 by Sri Sri Annada Thakur. My Grandfather was a companion of him and living in the monastery called Ashram; whereas his family members were residing in separate Ashrams located within the campus of the temple. I love this place because the temple actively helps anyone in need, the unity of all religions toward a common goal: humanity's realization of God. Symbol of the temple situated on the top combines Shiva's Trident, the Moon and Star, the Cross, and the Hand Fan - the symbols of Hinduism, Islam, Christianity, and Buddhism respectively. In conjunction with the temple, there was to be separate Ashram for men and women, boys' and girls' orphanages and schools, a free clinic to prevent the spread of contagious disease, and distribution of food and clothing to the poor.
