It was built in order to honour Sage Vyasa, who compiled the 300,000 verses of the epic Mahabharata. His cenotaph is situated on the north of the structure. It is popularly known as the city's sunset point as it gives a birds-eye view of Jaisalmer.

A good place to spend some peaceful time during morning or evening time. Though the ticket price is high, but you can have good photographs from this place. A nice location to view the golden fort during sunset. It's an ancient place having it's own story and dedicated to Sage Vyaas. The cenotaphs are good example of ancient architecture.

It's a graveyard previously dedicated to VYAS caste. Place is great with beautiful structure. There is complex of small temples. View of city is beautiful especially during sunset. Only let down was the entry fee. ₹100 entry fee including photography permit is way too much for this place which is not clean or well maintained. I don't see anything where this money is getting utilized.
