One of the top desert camps Dec 28: After a long drive we reach our camp in Sam Sand Dunes area. There are multiple camps around. The package includes stay in a tent, gala dinner, camel safari, jeep safari and a musical and a show program. The tents are quite basic with a bed. The bathrooms are very basic and there was hardly any hot water. However, our stay was enjoyable cos of the safari, musical program and the dinner with typical local cuisine. And all this at a reasonable cost even in the last week of december. The jeep safari is very good but do ensure your eyes are protected and hold on to the jeep as there are many bumps along the way. But thoroughly enjoyable. This is followed by a camel safari which is in slow motion compared to the jeep one. They then leave you for some time to enjoy the dunes in the desert before picking you up for the drive back.

Good place to get the real desert experience. The tents and amenities are comfortable. Food is just satisfactory. They arranged cultural program in the evening to relax. Hookah and drinks were also available. They even arrange desert safari in jeeps and on camels. Filling station (Essar) is just 2 km away in case you need petrol or diesel. Located very close to the Sam sand dunes - walkable from the camp.

A fantastic camp near the dunes ! Great management, food and hospitality. A nicely organized stay and activities. Camel ride and dune bashing were memorable. Great effort by Mr Salim Khan who took special care of us and ensured we had a lovely stay. Would love to go back !

Camp was nice and clean. Food was good. The evening performance was splendid! Hot Water supply in the morning was not available for a long time, otherwise it was a perfect camp !

Great experience of living in a tent including folk music around a bonfire. Camel ride to see sunset was included. Food and snacks were also good.
