Located close to the Jaisalmer city centre, Desert Culture Centre and Museum houses a large collection of traditional ancient scriptures, artefacts and instruments in addition to a vast collection of weapons, jewellery and handicrafts.

Near Gadisar lake, better than the Gadisar lake. I visited this museum after my disappointed visit to the Gadisar Lake. This museum came in the way while I was returning back from the lake. Entry fee is 10 INR. The guide didn't charge extra to show around. This is a small museum but offers a lot of information about history, kings, sites in Jaisalmer.

Puppet show is nice.

Must visit for people visiting Jaisalmer. An exceptional puppet show, amalgamated with the cultural heritage of Rajasthan is at display. When I visited in 2019, there were two shows running in the evening; 6:00pm to 7:00pm and 7:00pm to 8:00pm.

Very cool museum with TONS of displays, artifacts and placards inside. Sadly, everything is rather poorly displayed with little attention paid to the interpretation of the experience. That being said, for those with patience and time, there's much to learn at this place. Also, they advertise a pupet show in the evenings, which we did attend.
