Nahargarh Fort was built mainly in 1734 by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh, the king of Jaipur, the fort was constructed as a place of retreat on the summit of the ridge above the city. Walls extended over the surrounding hills, forming fortifications that connected this fort to Jaigarh, the fort above the old capital of Amber.

There are many things to see and experience in one place at this fort. Top view of the city can be seen from all around the fort. The palace inside the fort is specially nice and different abstract structures are placed for tourists to view inside this palace. A mini version of the chokhi dhaani is also there inside the fort premises which can experienced for an additional cost.

It is the most happening place of Jaipur. The road leading to the fort is amazing. It gives a breathtaking scenic views of the city and surrounding hills. The architecture is also so beautiful.In Monsoons, the hills wear a green blanket, If you are coming from outside the Jaipur you should visit this place. Experience of this place is unbeatable.Best time to visit is early morning so you can experience sunrise and click some awesome pics just like i did

Nahargarh fort is a beautiful drive and very green in the monsoons. For cyclists its a great trail to explore. There is a museum, a food court and some good historical areas to see. The view of the city is excellent from here as its on the top.of a hill and offers excellent sunset experience.
