Bar Palladio Jaipur is that very place: a candle-lit wonderland, a floating world. As the sun dips below the horizon a series of small tented pavilions appear and doors open onto the scenes of a dream. Every night this dream deepens, coloured by the aroma of food and the spirit of conversation. Classical Indian design shows a few Colonial influences at this serene venue with a global menu. Casual Dining, Bar - Italian, Finger Food. Approx cost for two people Rs 1,800.

It certainly is a very attractive restaurant, with brilliant cobalt painted walls inside, and bench sofa seating strewn with lights outside on the lawn. My personal opinion is that the murals of oil paintings and blue scalloped doorways in the interior don't exactly conjure the image of fine Italian dining. It would be more suited for Indian or perhaps Indian inspired colonial cuisine, which for some reason is the cuisine description on Google maps. The serve staff is also not particularly attentive. It took a while before the server came to our table to order. We opted to share the pumpkin and walnut ravioli and tea since we intended to also visit the restaurant next door. The server brought cold spinach and ricotta ravioli instead, and we had taken a bite before letting the server know that it was not what we had ordered. The server seemed to acknowledge that it was a mistake, but asked whether the spinach ricotta ravioli would be ok. The manager/supervisor intervened and said that we would get our pumpkin walnut ravioli, and that we were free to eat the rest of the spinach and ricotta ravioli at no extra charge on our bill. The pumpkin walnut ravioli is good, and was slightly warmer than the spinach ravioli that was served to us. The spinach ravioli is average, but not particularly palatable in its cold state. Pasta, particularly ravioli, is an entree that would be best serve on heated/warmed plates since it can easily lose heat when placed on a large cold plate. Ambiance aside, I would not recommend the pasta here.

I loved the lounge music played at Bar Palladio and felt they could add few lady staff at the location.

The interior of this restaurant is something not to be missed. The blue and white serenity is spread across the walls. The food is also equally good to remember. The cocktails are worth trying. The restaurant is spacious and picturesque.

An old palace stable reimagined as a swanky bar. Visually stunning and probably the best place to hang out in evening while in Jaipur. But the most underrated facet of this place is their great selection of spirits and the most imaginative cocktails menu.
