Le Meridien Calangute - Goa    Share

We stayed here for 6 nights over the new year. The location is good. We were able to walk to a lot of places that we wanted to go. The food at the hotel was okay, nothing spectacular except for the chaat cart by the pool. That was delicious! The rooms and facilities were clean; however, seemed a little bit old/outdated. For example, the carpets in the hallways had quite a few stains. The cover to the room key reader consistently fell off our door. Etc. The rooftop sunset/happy hour bar was great. We enjoyed that basically every day we were in Goa. Staff was helpful and friendly, though slow service at times. Ashley, from the concierge desk, was AMAZING and consistently went above and beyond to help us out. Overall, our stay was comfortable. We did not notice many comparable hotels in the immediate area.

Lovely nice and Clean hotel. Stayed here for 5 days with family. Location very good. Breakfast buffet was brilliant every day. Staff in restaurant were efficient and quick giving personal service. All staff very helpful and polite. Our housekeeping staff Amir Is friendly, polite and very helpful. All in all enjoyed our stay at this hotel.

The entrance is not impressive. The reception setting is below average. The rooms are good. The balcony is a bonus. The bathrooms are nice. The buffet spread was varied and tasty. I quite liked the dessert too. The pool area could be better. The arrangement of the entire hotel seems a little scattered.

Pretty solid junior corner suite on a high floor. Excellent size room and bathroom (bit supprised by the lack of bath). Pool area has a nice vibe, it is kid friendly but we (as a couple) don't mind this during the day. Local area is decent and beach is only a short walk - and is clean.

If you've been to Goa, then you know that this hotel is clearly the superior choice to any other in the area. Well-located, clean, upscale, and most of all: friendly and hospitable. The staff is its beating heart. A special recognition must go to Ashley. I was always happy to see him in the lobby and our group knew that his recommendations would steer us right (example: Ralu, our driver). Marriott should thank their lucky stars for his continued employment. My friends and I had a splendid stay.
