Portuguese claimed the Cabo de Rama Fort after defeating the Raja (King) of Soonda and subsequently renovated it. In the past, the fort has switched hands between Hindu, Muslim monarchs and the Portuguese and witnessed many battles in history. The present rickety structure with turrets and rusty cannons is a leftover of the Portuguese. The Portuguese equipped it with 21 guns and military barracks, as well as commandant quarters and a chapel. It was abandoned when the Portuguese left this place. Later, this fort housed a government prison till 1955 and was abandoned again. Today, this fort is in ruins, but is a popular tourist attraction of Goa.

The best and must visit place in Goa. Calm beach with a mesmerizing sunset! This place has all what a person would want when she/he wants to enjoy leisure after a tiring week. Sit on the cliff, enjoy the nature with a breathtaking view and scenery. Very less crowd so you can enjoy peace

This fort is situated in a perfect location, surrounded by water on both the sides. Don't forget to trek down to the Lazy View Point. It's not lazy by any means though. But the views are definitely worth the try. Also, the other side of the lazy view point, you have a viewpoint of some sorts where you can look at the Cabo De Rama shoreline. Which is equally stunning and serene. This place has very less crowd, compared to other spots in Goa. Partly because its situated far from everything else.

Well there is no other place like Cabo de Rama. Always good to visit at eve. Having a bad day? Spend an evening on the edge and feel the wind. Always refreshing. Little tip, please don't litter the place. And if possible contribute towards cleanliness by picking up few empty bottle and wrappers and putting em in dustbin. Thanks.

Cabo de Rama fort, one of the best place in South Goa. It is situated at the top of hill. Best place to explore it's beauty. Inside there you will see a small church. On the way towards ford, you will see lots of beautiful churches.

Amazing view, don't expect a beautiful fort but the view is just awesome. When we entered the fort, it felt like a waste of time but, after a little bit exploring we found a route towards the rocky beach (This route is not a very easy climb up/down thing - shoes recommended) and it was really beautiful
