Best place to visit. Very peaceful and loving place. The surrounding was amazing, garden was perfect. The structure of church is well maintained. Inside the church different forms of Jesus can be seen. Parking is easily available in front of Church and you can also do shopping near the parking area.

Visiting this place was quite a pleasing experience. It was quiet and peaceful inside the basilica. The interior was amazing to look at, seeing as it was all gold. It ended up being a nice walk through the entire building, looking at all the paintings and architecture. The outside of the basilica is very photogenic(with the right lighting). Many people were taking pictures at the arches and with the walls as a background. If you're a follower of historical monuments and like visiting such places, then make this place a must visit on your trip to Goa.

Basilica of Bom Jesus is amongst the most famous churches in India. The church is around 300 years old and holds the remains of St. Francis Xavier. It is one of the finest examples of Portuguese influence as the edifice is done in signature Baroque style. The flooring has been done in marble, inlaid with precious stones, the altar is elaborate with gilded gold work, the murals and the artistic rendition are also worth the appreciation. The church has been declared as the world heritage site and also boasts of a museum. A large number of believers gather at the church when the preserved body of Saint Francis Xavier is put on display.

Well maintained church. Fee; the calmness and peace once you are inside. Located in old Goa, you will enjoy the locals doing their chores. Enjoy local food too. A good church which is kept well.

This is one of the oldest churches in Goa and in India. The floor is of marble inlaid with precious stones. Apart from the elaborate gilded altars, the interior of the church is simple. The main altar holds a large statue of St. Ignatius of Loyola, the founder of the Society of Jesus (Jesuits), and one of Francis Xavier's companions whose words drew him to a reformed life. "What does it profit a man," Ignatius had asked Francis, "if he gains the whole world and loses his soul?"
