One gets a picturesque view of the Gangtok city. Since the day we visited was cloudy the view was not very clear. But on a clear, sunny day the view could be breathtaking. There is also a fast food stall nearby, but I have not tried any food there. The road condition was not at all good (at least when I travelled), so be prepared.

I would recommend to visit this place during winter. The view from this place are spectacular, you can observe various peaks from this place
