We stayed for 4 nights and honestly, the place is over-rated, especially given the price. The sprawling property is well-maintained, and the rooms are big and comfortable. The food, however, is very average and the service of the restaurant staff leaves much to be desired. Almost all of them were wearing masks on their chins, and though covid-19 safety posters are pasted all over the resort, they are hardly being followed. The spa facilities are top notch. Note - the hotel is quite far from Gangtok city center.

One of best and most beautiful resort i have ever visited and stayed. Food and ambience is soo cool and good. Rooms are bigger than average hotel rooms and also the balcony was very good n bigger. I loved this resort and looking to visit again.

Family Room of Mayfair Gangtok is pathetic. It does not has a large sit out area as written on the website. 1 washroom in the Family Room is worse than a Rs.1000 hotel. It was a broken window and there were spider webs. It did not had a bathtub and the size of washroom was really small. The other washroom had a small bathtub. The Family Room is not at all upto the standard of the goodwill of Mayfair and the price which they charge is more than 2 deluxe rooms. It is better to book 2 Deluxe rooms than to book a Family Room. Not at all satisfied with the stay.

Sikkim doesn’t have much option in luxury but It was an average place to stay. Though resort is well maintained and greenery is beautiful out there but the food specially for vegetarians is below average

Overall a nice one time experience. The casino was closed due to COVID which would have definitely enhanced our experience. But considering the name and grandeur of Mayfair , I honestly expected a little better service and experience. The service and hospitality was a little off considering the standards of other 5-star properties accross the country.
