Do-drul Chorten is a stupa in Gangtok in the Indian state of Sikkim. The stupa was built by Trulshik Rinpoche, head of the Nyingma order of Tibetan Buddhism in 1945. Inside this stupa is a complete set of Dorjee Phurba, Kangyur and other religious objects. Around the stupa are 108 Mani Lhakor or prayer wheels.

Full of positive energy and peace. Although you have to climb a steep slope to reach here. Road to enlightenment is never easy. You can also get good views from this place. Lama of this Monastery are very friendly. One Lama took care to guide us to the entire Monastery and explain us the various facts about the place.

The "Do Drul Chorten or Stupa" is one of the finest monastery of "Gangtok" which was constructed by "Trulshi Rimpoche" in 1945. "Trulshi Rimpoche" was the head of "Nyingma order of Tibetan Buddhism". Inside the "Chorten", you can see complete set of "Dorjee Phurba"(Vajra Kilaya), 'Zung'(Mantras), a set of "Kang Gyur Relics"(Holy book) and various religious objects. There are 108 "Mani Lhakor"(prayer wheels) around the Chorten. This place is located near "Tibetology Institute" and open for all week days from 8a.m. to 6p.m.

Really a beautiful monestry........ Highly maintained really clean.... The monks are were welcoming and friendly..... There is a common charges... 15-20 mins are more than enough......

First glance of Chorten from the steep road gives me peace and happiness everytime i visit and believe me when i say everytime because i visit chorten almost 50 times a year.
