Tiger hill is one of the best place and must go place to see. One have to wake up early in the morning and reach to this place at least before 5:00 a.m. Make sure to wear enough warm clothes as you can from head to toe because temperature over there in the morning is in minus. The view of sun rise to see from this place is amazing and the way sun rays falls on Mount Kanchenjunga and the color changing view of the same is the most amazing thing. Yes, you will definitely find very hard to wake up early to go that place but you will definitely enjoy and feel thankful if you will actually go there.

The place was picturesque. On the right side we could see sun rise and left side had snow covered Kanchenjunga.. must visit. You will also find tea vendors and others selling warm clothes. One has to make sure to reach as early as possible since there are too many people and then you will have to park your car very far away from the spot.

A hilltop spot where you can get a glimpse of Kanchenjunga mountains and sunrise. The place gets crowded and you may find it difficult to get a spot at 5-6 am in the morning. The road will also gets packed and returning will take almost 2 hours of waiting. If you are lucky and its not a foggy day, you can witness great sunrise and the images will be spectacular. I personally felt that such a crowd and rush make it less worthy as it turns out to a just touristy thing than a beautiful sunrise.

While we always talk about the sweeping views of sunrise from Tiger Hill and the view of the colossal Kanchenjunga with many other snow clad eastern Himalayan peaks from here, but we hardly talk about the summit of Tiger Hill itself. True that the blaze of rapidly changing colors of the snow peaks as the sun strikes is an awesome view, but Tiger Hill is great even otherwise. It's a destination by itself offering not just great views during sunrise, it's a place where you can soak yourself with Himalayan beauty anytime during the day.

Splendid view indeed of the mighty Kanchenjunga from the Tiger Hill, you need to wait for 2hours(minimum) for getting a better place for viewing and to climb less from the parking, I was impressed by the majestic view of the Kanchenjunga. It was 0°C at 5am (Dec 24,2019) . A new observatory is being made to accommodate more tourists for viewing , I suggest to put some benches for sitting, and it would be great if there are some restaurants for eating.
